Defense forces destroy remains of subversive group that entered Sotnytskyi Kozachok in Kharkiv region

The defense forces continue to detect and destroy the remains of a subversive group that entered Sotnytskyi Kozachok in the Zolochiv community in the Kharkiv region.

Yurii Povkh, the spokesman of Ukraine's "Kharkiv" group of forces, told this to Ukrinform. 

"Along the state border, the enemy is trying to create additional points of tension using the tactics of subversive groups. One of these groups attempted to enter the village of  Sotnytskyi Kozachok, which is located directly on the state border. At the moment, Ukrainian Defense Forces units are continuing measures to detect and destroy the remnants of the group," said Povkh.

According to him, in the area of responsibility of the "Kharkiv'' group of forces, the Russian occupiers continue to focus their main efforts on the directions of Vovchansk and Lyptsi.

The press service of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration noted that 32 people lived in Sotnytskyi Kozachok until recently, and only four people remain today.

As reported, on June 26, border guards repelled an attack by a Russian sabotage and reconnaissance group near the village of Sotnytskyi Kozachokin in the Kharkiv region. 

On July 4, State Border Guard Service spokesman Andrii Demchenko said that Russian troops were trying to create tension in order to either expand the foothold for combat operations or to keep certain forces and assets in this area.
