One killed, seven injured as Russian army shells four villages in Donetsk region

The Russian army has shelled four villages in the Donetsk region, killing one person and injuring seven others, including a ten-year-old child.

The Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office said this in a post on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

According to the investigation, on July 4, the village of Stinka in the Kramatorsk district came under artillery fire. A 37-year-old worker, who went to feed animals, suffered fatal injuries at a local agricultural enterprise.

A 59-year-old man was injured near a water area in the village of Kleban-Byk of the Illinivka community.

In addition, the Russian army shelled the village of Pivnichne, Bakhmut district, hitting a private building. A family was injured in their house, including a 58-year-old father, a 50-year-old mother and their ten-year-old son. The type of weapon used by the occupiers is being determined.

The prosecutor's office said that the invaders had dropped UMPB D-30SN aerial bombs on the village of Myrne, Volnovakha district. One of them hit a farm, injuring three civilians, including 34- and 62-year-old women and a 45-year-old man.

All the victims were hospitalized with blast and traumatic brain injuries and shrapnel wounds.

Residential buildings and agricultural machinery were damaged in the villages.

A pre-trial investigation has been launched into violations of the laws and customs of war (Parts 1, 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
