Russians shell village center in Donetsk region: Village council employee killed, 14 others injured

The Russian army shelled the center of Komar village in the Donetsk region, killing a 32-year-old employee of the village council and wounding 14 others.

This was reported by the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"On July 5, 2024, the Russian army attacked Komar village in the Volnovakha district three times. The target of the attack was the village center. The hit of a munition near the village council’s building injured 15 employees of the institution, who were in the building during the shelling," the statement said.

It is noted that 12 women and 3 men were taken to the hospital. One of the victims, a 32-year-old woman, later died from her injuries.

A pre-trial investigation into the violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) has been initiated.
