Enemy attacks Nikopol, Pokrovsk community with drones, heavy artillery

On July 7, Russian troops shelled Nikopol and the Pokrovsk community with heavy artillery and drones. Educational institutions, apartment blocks and private houses, a gas pipeline were damaged, and fires broke out.

According to Ukrinform, Serhiy Lysak, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration, said this in a post on Telegram.

"The Russians were using kamikaze drones and heavy artillery to attack the Nikopol district. In total, the district has suffered a dozen attacks since the morning. Fortunately, there were no casualties. However, damage was caused to people's homes. In Nikopol, windows and balconies in two five-story buildings were damaged. Six private houses also sustained damage," he said.

Moreover, two schools came under attack, according to Lysak.

"Three outbuildings, an unused building, a car, power lines and a gas pipeline were damaged. Two fires broke out in the city and in the Pokrovsk community due to enemy strikes. Rescuers extinguished the fire," the regional governor said.

As reported, on the evening of July 6, rescuers came under repeated shelling by Russian troops in Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region.
