Ukrainian air defence destroyed three Russian X-101 missiles at night
At night, air defence forces destroyed three Russian X-101 cruise missiles in Zhytomyr and Cherkasy regions.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported in a Telegram message by the commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk.
According to him, last night, Russians attacked Ukraine with air- and ground-launched missiles: four X-101s from Tu-95MS strategic aircraft (launch area - airspace of Saratov region) and two Iskander-M ballistic missiles (launch areas - Kursk region and temporarily occupied Crimea).
"According to the results of combat operations, air defence destroyed three X-101 cruise missiles in Zhytomyr and Cherkasy regions," Oleshchuk said.
As Ukrinform reported, on the night of 8 July, air alert was announced throughout Ukraine.
