Death toll from Russian missile attack in Kyiv rises to eight, 25 injured

The death toll in Kyiv has risen to eight as a result of a Russian missile attack.

The State Emergency Service reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

Rescue operations continue in Podilskyi, Desnianskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, Holosiivskyi, Dniprovskyi, Solomyanskyi, Darnytskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts of the city.

A fire of 1,500 square meters was extinguished in the Shevchenkivskyi district at 11:55 a.m. Five people died and four were injured. The injured were handed over to doctors for further hospitalization.

According to preliminary data, the total number of people killed in the capital is eight, and 25 more people were injured.

213 rescuers and 43 units of basic and special fire and rescue equipment are working at the sites.

As reported by Ukrinform, according to Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko, 20 people were killed as a result of a Russian missile strike on Ukraine.
