French ambassador on morning missile attack on Ukraine: Russia must answer for this

French Ambassador to Ukraine Gael Veyssiere has said that Russia must answer for this morning's missile attack on Ukraine and, in particular, on the Okhmatdyt children's hospital.

The diplomat said this in a post on X, Ukrinform reports.

"After last night's alerts, a new Russian missile attack on Ukraine this morning left at least 20 dead. In Kyiv, the Okhmatdyt children's hospital, which is supported by France, was hard hit, and victims are still believed to be under the rubble. Russia will have to answer for this," the ambassador said.

Russia launched a massive missile attack on Kyiv, Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, Sloviansk and Kramatorsk on July 8. More than 40 missiles of various types were used.

Ukrainian Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko said that at least 20 people had been killed in the Russian missile attack on Ukraine.

According to preliminary reports, eight people were killed and 15 injured in the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv.
