Over 600 patients evacuated from Okhmatdyt, 100 of them to other hospitals - Liashko
More than 600 patients have been evacuated from the Okhmatdyt Children's Hospital, including 100 of them to other hospitals, and over 50 people have been injured, including seven children.
Ukrainian Health Minister Viktor Liashko said this at a briefing on Monday, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
"We have more than 50 wounded, including two seriously wounded medical workers. Forty medical workers suffered injuries of varying severity. Now we clearly know about seven wounded children. Their lives are not in danger. [...] We have evacuated more than 600 patients, including more than 100 to other health care institutions," Liashko said.
The minister noted that the strike had killed Svitlana Lukianchuk, a doctor from the dialysis department, who was helping evacuate patients undergoing dialysis.
He said that the attack had damaged four medical buildings and one administrative building of the hospital.
The heads of all units and departments of the hospital are currently assessing the extent of damage.
In total, about 700 patients were treated in the hospital at the time of the attack.
