Russia kills 559 children in Ukraine

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Russian army has killed 559 children in Ukraine and injured another 1,449.

According to Ukrinform, the Office of the Prosecutor General reported this on Facebook.

"As of the morning of July 9, 2024, according to official information from juvenile prosecutors, 559 children were killed as a result of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. More than 1,449 were injured with varying degrees of severity," the statement said.

Thus, on July 8, four children died as a result of massive enemy rocket fire on Kyiv: two girls aged eight and 14, and two boys aged eight and 10. Ten children aged two to 17 sustained injuries of varying severity.

In addition, on July 8, as a result of the shelling of Novoekonomichne village in the Donetsk region, a 16-year-old boy was injured.

Also, a 5-year-old girl was injured as a result of shelling in Ochakivske village, Mykolaiv region.

As reported, a massive Russian missile attack on July 8 hit Kyiv, Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, Kramatorsk, and Sloviansk. More than 40 missiles of various types were fired. Residential buildings and infrastructure were damaged. One of the missiles hit the building of the Okhmatdyt children's hospital.
