Two injured in Russian shelling of Nikopol district

Russian forces have shelled the Nikopol district, Dnipropetrovsk region, with drones and heavy artillery, injuring two people and damaging residential houses and enterprises.

Serhii Lysak, head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration, announced this on the Telegram messaging app, Ukrinform reports.

"The enemy targeted the Nikopol district with kamikaze drones. They also used heavy artillery – some 30 shells were fired at populated areas. They caused a lot of trouble," Lysak wrote.

Earlier, Lysak reported that due to shelling in Nikopol, a fire broke out in a private house -- two people were injured. He clarified that 13 houses, three outbuildings and two power lines had been damaged.

According to him, an industrial enterprise was damaged. The shelling also destroyed two garages and damaged 23 cars and two minibuses.

"It was also loud in the Marhanets and Pokrovske communities. In the latter, an agricultural company was damaged. The windshield of a harvester that was there was broken. But the main thing is that there are no deaths or injuries," Lysak added.
