Zelensky says number of F-16s will not be enough to counter Russia's jet fleet

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that the number of F-16s that partners will transfer to Ukraine will not be sufficient for a full-fledged confrontation with a Russian fleet of fighter jets.

The head of state said this at a press conference on Monday, Ukrinform reports.

"The decision to transfer F-16s to Ukraine was strategic, but their number was not strategic," Zelensky said.

However, according to him, the transfer of the F-16 will definitely strengthen the Ukrainian defense.
