Ukrainian forces repel seven Russian assaults on southern front over past day

Ukrainian defenders have repelled four enemy assaults in the Orikhiv sector and three assaults on the east bank of the Dnipro River in the operational area of the Southern Defense Forces.

Ukraine's Southern Defense Forces reported this on the Telegram messaging app, according to Ukrinform.

"The enemy is still attempting to dislodge our units from their positions. Over the past day, the occupiers have carried out four assaults in the Orikhiv sector and three assaults on the left bank of the Dnipro River in the Krynky area. Having suffered losses, they retreated to their original positions," the post reads.

Continuing the terror of the civilian population of the front-line territories of the Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions, the enemy used 183 FPV drones, 18 Lancet attack drones and one Privet-82 UAV, and also dropped 292 fragmentation munitions from UAVs of various modifications.

Later, the Southern Defense Forces reported on Telegram that Russian invaders were launching artillery strikes, airstrikes, using a large number of attack drones of various types, and actively conducting aerial reconnaissance.

The flight of 284 reconnaissance UAVs was recorded in the operational zone over the past day.
