Russians launch 136 strikes on Sumy region in past day

The Russian army launched 136 strikes on Ukraine's northeastern Sumy region on July 16, damaging private property and infrastructure.
The Sumy region police announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"In the past 24 hours, the enemy carried out 136 strikes on the Sumy region. In total, 23 settlements came under fire," the post reads.
According to the regional police, the attacks damaged critical infrastructure sites, two private residential buildings, a garage, outbuildings, and a farm.
A car was destroyed and a truck was damaged during the shelling.
The police reported that criminal proceedings had been launched for each of the facts under Article 438 "Violation of laws and customs of war" of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
