AFU shoot down 12 Russian Shaheds and one UAV at night

On the night of 20 July, the Defence Forces shot down 12 Russian Shahed attack drones and one UAV of an unspecified type.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported in a Telegram message by the commander of the Ukrainian Air Force, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk.

On the night of 20 July, Russians attacked Ukraine with three Iskander-M ground-launched ballistic missiles from the Voronezh region, as well as one Iskander-K cruise missile and 16 Shahed-type attack UAVs from the Kursk region, and used one UAV of an unspecified type.

Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv and Kyiv regions were attacked.

As a result of the anti-aircraft battle, units of mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defence Forces, anti-aircraft missile troops and electronic warfare of the Air Force shot down 12 Shahed-131/136 attack UAVs and one UAV of an unspecified type.

As reported by Ukrinform, fragments of a Russian drone fell in the Solomianskyi district of Kyiv.
