Russia shelled Nikopol district throughout day: gymnasium burned and houses were damaged
The occupiers attacked Nikopol district 15 times during the day with drones and artillery. Nikopol, Marhanetska, Pokrovsk and Myrivska communities were under attack.
This was reported in Telegram by the head of the Dnipro Regional Military Administration Serhiy Lysak, Ukrinform reports.
"During the day, the enemy attacked the Nikopol region with kamikaze drones and artillery. In total - a dozen and a half times. Nikopol, Marhanetska, Pokrovsk and Myrivska communities were under attack," Lysak said.
According to him, the occupants damaged an apartment block and 17 private houses.
"Eight outbuildings were damaged. Another one caught fire - the fire was extinguished. A fire also broke out in a gymnasium. It was also extinguished," added Lysak.
The shelling also damaged several cars and a truck, 3 greenhouses, and hit power lines and gas pipelines.
As the agency reported earlier, Russians shelled Nikopol with artillery, killing a man.
