Ukraine's air defence has been strengthened - a Patriot anti-aircraft missile system has arrived from Germany.

This was announced by Volodymyr Zelensky in his evening address, Ukrinform reports.

The Head of State heard a report from the Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk, on the work of fire groups to shoot down enemy Shahed kamikaze drones and counter Russian missiles.

"We can already say that our air defence is being strengthened. The German Patriot has arrived in Ukraine," Zelensky said.

He expressed gratitude to Germany and the United States for this step.

"We can do much more in the sky. Of course, there is still a lot of work to be done, and this is far from guaranteed protection, but nevertheless, it is more power for Ukraine," the President stressed.
