Pentagon: US monitoring cooperation between Russia and North Korea

The United States is monitoring the development of cooperation between Russia and the DPRK, including in the context of Pyongyang's military assistance to Russia's aggression against Ukraine.

This was stated by US Department of Defense spokesman General Patrick Ryder, a Ukrinform correspondent reports.

He emphasized that they continue to monitor the relations between these countries.

According to Ryder, this is troubling given that “North Korea is actually contributing to the continuation of Russia's illegal occupation of Ukraine by providing material and moral support to the Russian Federation.

The Pentagon spokesman reiterated that the US side continues to “closely monitor” this.

As reported, last week, DPRK leader Kim Jong Un met in Pyongyang with Russian Deputy Defense Minister Alexey Krivoruchko. They discussed, in particular, deepening bilateral cooperation.
