Ukraine downs 25 of 38 Russian kamikaze drones overnight Thu

In the early hours of Thursday, July 25, Russia launched at Ukraine a swarm of Shahed-131/136 one-way attack drones.

The UAVs were launched from Cape Chauda (occupied ​​Crimea) and Primorsk-Akhtarsk region (Russia), according to the Air Force Commander, Mykola Pletenchuk, Ukrinform reports.

A total of 38 Shaheds were targeting Ukrainian infrastructure facilities in several regions, including in the region of Odesa and in central Ukraine.

As a result of air defense efforts involving mobile fire teams, surface-to-air missile units, and e-warfare capabilities 25 enemy drones were intercepted. Radars lost another three Shahed drones after they crossed into the Romanian airspace.

Air defense forces were activated across Odesa, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Kyiv, Sumy, Zhytomyr, and Cherkasy regions, the report reads.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, no casualties or destruction were reported as Russian drones were destroyed on their approach to the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, overnight Thursday.
