Russian drone debris leaves infrastructure facility, households damaged in Zhytomyr region
In Zhytomyr region west of Kyiv, a number of households and an infrastructure facility sustained damage from Russian kamikaze drones’ debris and a shock wave caused by explosions.
That’s according to the chief of the regional military administration, Vitaliy Bunechko, Ukrinform reports.
"Tonight, the enemy launched a swarm of kamikaze drones. The air defense forces were engaged in intensive ‘anti-terrorist’ efforts, shooting down most of the nearly 10 incoming air targets. Some 10 houses and an infrastructure facility were damaged as a result of drone debris falling on them and the shock wave from the impact," Bunechko wrote on Facebook.
According to the official, no casualties were reported. Emergency teams are on the scenes of the impacts, tackling the consequences of the attack.
The administration chief pledged recovery assistance to those whose homes were affected.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, the Air Defense Forces overnight Thursday destroyed 25 of the 38 Russian kamikaze UAVs of the Shahed-131/136 type.
