Zelensky hears two reports by CinC Syrskyi on situation in Pokrovsk sector
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky today heard two reports by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi regarding the situation on the Pokrovsk axis in the Donetsk region.
The head of state announced this during a video address, Ukrinform reports.
"Together with the Minister [of Defense Rustem Umerov] and the military command, we are carefully analyzing the situation in the difficult areas; primarily it is the Pokrovsk direction in the Donetsk region. This is the direction that has been and remains the main focus of Russian attacks. There have been two reports today from Commander-in-Chief [Oleksandr] Syrskyi. Everything must be done and will be done to strengthen our positions, our Ukrainian ability to inflict tangible losses on the occupier," he said.
Zelensky also noted that military aid packages for Ukraine, which are being prepared in cooperation with partners, had been discussed during the meeting with Umerov.
"It is important that our warriors receive exactly what they need under these conditions of very intense battles and pressure from the Russian army," Zelensky said.
