Ukraine's intelligence hits three helicopters in Russia - source

The Ukrainian Defense Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR) has carried out acts of sabotage on Russian territory, hitting three helicopters.

That's according to a source in Ukrainian intelligence.

On July 21, at around 03:00, Russia's Mi-28 and Ka-226 helicopters were hit at JSC Mil and Kamov National Center for Helicopter Engineering in Tomilino, Moscow region, as a result of an act of sabotage carried out by the HUR.

According to the source, on July 24, a Mi-8 multipurpose helicopter was destroyed at the Russian Defense Ministry's Kryazh air base in Samara.

Mil and Kamov National Center for Helicopter Engineering is an aircraft construction enterprise that specializes in the development, production and repair of Mi and Ka helicopters and other rotorcraft.

Ukraine's military intelligence agency confirmed on Facebook that three helicopters had been struck in Russia, including one in Samara and two near Moscow.
