Su-34 bomber crashes in Russia

A Russian Su-34 bomber was shot down on Saturday near Volgograd during a training flight.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Shot telegram channel.

It is noted that the cause of the crash was a technical malfunction.

"The flight was a scheduled training flight. The pilots were able to eject, their lives are not in danger," the post says.

The attached video shows a column of black smoke dispersing from the crash site.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, on 25 July, a Russian military Mi-28 helicopter crashed in the Zhizdra district of the Kaluga region.
