Air defense forces shot down one enemy missile, nine Shahed UAVs overnight

On the night of July 29, 2024, the enemy attacked Ukraine with a Kh-59/Kh-69 guided missile launched from the airspace of occupied Donetsk region and 10 Shahed-type strike UAVs from Cape Chauda, Crimea.

Ukrainian Air Force Commander, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk said this in a post on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

One Kh-59/Kh-69 guided missile and nine Shahed-131/136 UAVs were intercepted and shot down in the Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson and Kirovohrad regions.

Anti-aircraft missile and EW units of the Air Force and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces were involved in repelling the air attack.

As reported, on the night of July 29, an air raid alert was announced in some regions of Ukraine due to the threat of the enemy launching attack UAVs on the country.
