Energy and defence: Zelensky holds meeting in Kharkiv region

President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting on the security and energy situation in Kharkiv region.

The Head of State announced this in his Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"Kharkiv region. Meeting on the security and energy situation. The focus was on preparing Kharkiv and the region for the heating season. There were reports on the operational situation, protection of energy sector facilities, overcoming energy shortages and providing heat and electricity in the autumn-winter period," Zelensky said.

He thanked everyone "who defends our Kharkiv region, our entire country and people".

As Ukrinform reported, President Volodymyr Zelensky is currently in Kharkiv region. In particular, he visited the soldiers of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kharkiv sector, congratulated them on their professional holiday and presented them with state awards. In Derhachi, he inspected 18 restored houses.
