Russians conduct recruitment raids in TOT of Kherson region - National Resistance Centre
In the TOT of Kherson region, Russians are conducting recruitment raids, agitating locals to serve in the Russian army.
This was reported by the National Resistance Centre, Ukrinform reports.
"In the temporarily occupied territories (TOT) of the Kherson region, Russians are actively conducting a recruitment campaign to recruit locals into the ranks of their army," the report says.
It is noted that special detachments travel to villages where they campaign to sign a contract. In particular, they compile lists of those who are theoretically loyal to the occupiers and may agree.
The service, the occupiers promise, will take place in the rear, but this is a deception, because the Kremlin benefits from the death of Ukrainians - regardless of the side they are fighting for.
The National Resistance Centre notes that the recruitment of residents of the occupied territories into the occupier's army is a violation of international law.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, the Russians have created a "special" fund for seized housing in the TOT of Ukraine.
In the autumn of 2022, the Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated the right-bank part of the Kherson region, including the city of Kherson. Part of the region, located on the left bank of the Dnipro River, is temporarily occupied by Russian troops.
