Russians drop unexploded ordnance on Krasnopilia community in Sumy region at night, two women wounded

At night in Sumy region, the Russian military dropped a guided bomb on the Krasnopilia community, injuring two women.

This was reported by the Sumy Regional Prosecutor's Office in Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

According to the investigation, on 16 August 2024, at about 00:10, using methods of warfare prohibited by international law, the enemy dropped, according to preliminary data, one guided bomb on the civilian infrastructure of the Krasnopilia community of the Sumy district.

‘Two women aged 74 and 53 were injured as a result of the occupiers' attack. At least 5 houses and a local club building were also damaged,’ the prosecutor's office said.

Reportedly, a pre-trial investigation is being conducted under the procedural supervision of the Sumy District Prosecutor's Office on the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

In the future, the materials of the criminal proceedings will be transferred to the Office of the Security Service of Ukraine in Sumy region.

As Ukrinform reported, the day before, on 15 August, Russians dropped two guided bombs on the civilian infrastructure of the Krasnopilia community in Sumy region, killing a man and injuring two other people.
