In northern Kharkiv region, units from Ukraine’s Main Directorate of Intelligence (HUR) mopped up 400 hectares of forest and destroyed nearly an entire Russian regiment.

This is according to HUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, as reported by Ukrinform.

HUR’s active combat units Artan, Kraken, and the International Legion successfully liberated a forested area north of the village of Lyptsi in Kharkiv region.

"The planned and bold actions of the Ukrainian intelligence forces led to the capture of an enemy battalion’s defensive sector, the elimination of three motorized rifle battalions, the 'Storm' detachment, and the reconnaissance company of the 7th separate motorized rifle regiment of the 11th Army Corps of the Russian Armed Forces," the report states.

Additionally, the Ukrainian forces captured more Russian soldiers during these operations, which may aid in negotiating the return of Ukrainian defenders held in Russian captivity.

"Following the mopping up of 400 hectares of forest north of Lyptsi, the position of the Russian invaders in this section of the front has worsened and is now close to hopeless," HUR emphasized.

The Ukrainian defense intelligence highlighted that a key feature of this operation was the ability to deploy infantry from the 13th Brigade of the National Guard Khartia with minimal losses, showcasing excellent collaboration between professional special operations forces and regular military units.

"The successful HUR mission is paving the way for further expulsion of the Russian occupiers from northern Kharkiv region," HUR added.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, HUR showed large-scale destruction of Russian artillery in Kharkiv region.
