Over 70 children evacuated from dangerous communities of Donetsk region in past week
Over the past week, 74 children were evacuated from dangerous communities of the Donetsk region to safer regions.
That is according to the press service of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Ukrinform reports.
“In total, 74 children left the dangerous area last week,” the statement said.
As noted, 57 children were evacuated from the frontline town of Kostiantynivka over the past week. Eight children were relocated from the Illinivka community and seven more from the Pokrovsk community.
At the end of October, 273 children were living in 10 settlements where the forced evacuation of families with children is still ongoing, according to Yulia Ryzhakova, acting head of the children's service. Most of them are in Kostiantynivka, where 132 minors remain. There are 56 children in Pokrovsk and 53 children in Rodynske. Another 31 children remain in the village of Illinivka and one child in the town of Lyman.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, 290 families with 336 children remain in the settlements of the Donetsk region, where children are being evacuated together with their parents or other legal guardians.
