Overnight drone attack damages homes, yards in Sumy region

On the night of September 26-27, Russian forces launched a drone attack on communities in the Romny district of Ukraine's northeastern Sumy region, causing damage to residential houses and outbuildings.

Valentyna Nazarenko, head of the Romny District Military Administration, shared the details on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"The night in the Romny district was difficult as the enemy attacked with drones. Explosions were heard in three communities of the district," Nazarenko said.

According to her, in the Andriiashivka community, three residential buildings and three outbuildings were damaged. A total of 26 windows were shattered and five roofs were partially destroyed.

In the Lypova Dolyna community, enemy strikes damaged the roof of one house and shattered windows in two others.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported among local residents.

Earlier reports said that Ukraine's air defense forces successfully shot down seven Russian Shahed drones over the Sumy region during the night.
