In Toretsk, enemy conducts continuous “meat” assaults to exhaust defenders - AFU

The Russian army is conducting continuous infantry assaults in Toretsk, sparing no soldiers and trying to exhaust the Defense Forces.

Anastasia Bobovnikova, a spokeswoman for the Luhansk regional military unit, said this on television, Ukrinform reports.

“The situation in Toretsk is extremely difficult because there are heavy urban battles. The enemy is trying to put pressure on us with “meat”, not considering its military as people, considering them expendable, which can be used to throw at the Defense Forces until we are exhausted. Unfortunately, they have a very large resource of this “meat”. If equipment is used less in this area, there is a lot of human resource there. And this routine is the most difficult thing in the conduct of hostilities in Toretsk,” noted Bobovnikova.

According to her, the occupants' assault actions in Toretsk are continuous and under the cover of artillery.

“The enemy is trying to attack under the cover of artillery and mortars. First, there is artillery preparation and then an infantry assault. They are trying to catch our military at a disadvantage when they are hiding from artillery. At the same time, the Russians do not take into account that they themselves may suffer from their own artillery. They do not value their own lives,” Bobovnikova emphasized.

As Ukrinform reported, the Russian army in Toretsk loses about 500 soldiers a week.
