Russia reports strikes on aviation complex in Taganrog, oil depot in Bryansk
Drones and missiles attacked Russia's Bryansk and Rostov regions during the night of December 10-11.
That's according to the BBC Russian Service, Ukrinform reports.
In Taganrog, located in the Rostov region, a missile attack damaged a boiler house, cutting off heat supply to 27 apartment buildings, according to Mayor Svetlana Kambulova.
According to the Nastoyaschee Vremya (Current Time) news site, Acting Governor of the Rostov Region, Yury Slyusar, stated that an industrial enterprise in the city was also damaged, and 14 cars burned in a parking lot. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties.
The Telegram channel Astra, citing local sources, suggested that the Taganrog Aviation Scientific and Technical Complex named after G. M. Beriev may have been targeted, although this has not been confirmed. Residents of Taganrog reported hearing multiple explosions and gunfire.
In the Bryansk region, Governor Alexander Bogomaz reported the interception of ten drones, claiming they were shot down before causing significant damage. However, a drone attack did lead to a fire at a production facility in Bryansk, which was extinguished without casualties.
Residents in Bryansk's Fokinsky district told the Telegram channel Shot that between six and ten explosions were heard at around 00:45. They reported that an oil refinery in the "meat processing plant area" caught fire.
Ukrainian open-source intelligence (OSINT) channels claimed the Transneft oil refinery was affected, while Astra reported that a loading point for the Druzhba oil pipeline in the nearby village of Sven had also caught fire.
The Russian Defense Ministry stated this morning that 14 aircraft-type drones were destroyed overnight in the Bryansk region but did not mention any missile strikes in the Rostov region.
