The Canadian Armed Forces are employing drones to enhance the training of Ukrainian defenders in modern combat techniques.

Canada's UNIFIER training mission announced this on its X account, Ukrinform reports.

"Here at Operation UNIFIER we use drones to create more realistic training scenarios whether leveraging them as instruments for information gathering or simulating a potential threat in the battle space," the post said.

The Canadian military emphasized that drones are a powerful tool in the hands of a soldier.

Since the launch of Operation UNIFIER in 2015, Canadian military personnel have trained over 43,000 Ukrainian soldiers. Although Canadian instructors temporarily withdrew from Ukraine following Russia's full-scale invasion, training efforts resumed within months in the UK, Poland, and Latvia.
