Zelensky visits HIMARS division in Zaporizhzhia region

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has arrived in the Zaporizhzhia region where he met with soldiers from the 27th Rocket Artillery Brigade.

The head of state said this in a post on the Telegram messaging app, Ukrinform reports.

"Zaporizhzhia. Our warriors from the 27th Rocket Artillery Brigade -- the HIMARS division. These guys are defending our Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions from the occupiers. It is an honor to be with our warriors today, to congratulate them on the Day of the Land Forces and the recent Day of Missile and Artillery Forces, and to honor them with awards," Zelensky said.

He thanked the soldiers for their service and for defending Ukraine and its people.

"May the HIMARS always perform flawlessly and hit the enemy targets," Zelensky said.

Ukraine celebrates Land Forces Day annually on December 12.
