Ukrainian forces shoot down 67 enemy drones, another 71 disappear from radar
Ukraine's defense forces have shot down 67 Russian drones. Another 71 UAVs have been lost from tracking.
The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in a post on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
Starting at 19:30 on Friday, February 7, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with 139 Shahed-type attack UAVs and various types of decoy drones launched from Russia’s Kursk, Orel, Millerovo, Bryansk, and Shatalovo.
Ukraine’s anti-aircraft missile troops, EW units, and mobile fire groups repelled that enemy air attack.
As of 09:00 on Saturday, February 8, 67 drones were confirmed downed in the Kyiv, Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kirovohrad, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk and Odesa regions.
As many as 71 enemy decoy drones disappeared from radar (without negative consequences).
As a result of the enemy attack, there have been reports of damage in the Sumy, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk and Kyiv regions.
