The capital of Russia, Moscow, and Moscow region were attacked by drones on March 14, marking the second drone strike on the city within a week.

That is according to the BBC Russian service, as reported by Ukrinform.

Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin stated that Russian air defense systems intercepted four drones heading toward the city. Emergency services are working at the sites where the debris fell, but the exact locations have not been disclosed.

Earlier, Vnukovo Airport temporarily suspended flights due to the drone attack, but the restrictions have now been lifted.

Russian media, citing an emergency services representative, report that one of the drones flying toward Moscow hit the roof of a multi-story residential building in the western part of the city. According to preliminary information, there are no casualties.

Also, the governor of Kaluga region, Vladislav Shapsha, reported that air defense systems shot down a drone on the outskirts of Obninsk. According to preliminary information, there was no damage to infrastructure and no casualties.

Additionally, as a result of an attack by Ukrainian drones in the town of Tuapse in Krasnodar territory on the Black Sea coast, a fire broke out at a local oil depot, according to the region's governor, Veniamin Kondratyev. He stated that one of the fuel tanks caught fire, with the blaze covering an area of over 1,000 square meters. Emergency response teams are working at the scene. According to Kondratyev, there are no casualties. More than 120 personnel and 39 units of equipment have been deployed to extinguish the fire.

In Sochi Airport, the "Carpet" security protocol was activated, causing delays for both arrivals and departures.

As reported by Ukrinform, on March 11, Russia's Ministry of Defense claimed that 337 drones were shot down overnight as part of a massive UAV attack on Russian territory.
