
Ukraine’s forces down 75 enemy drones overnight, 63 others lost from radar
The Defense Forces of Ukraine shot down 75 drones used by Russian forces in their overnight attack on Ukraine. Additionally, 63 enemy UAV decoys were lost from tracking without causing any damage.
The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Telegram, as cited by Ukrinform.
Starting 19:00 on Wednesday, the Russian invaders launched a total of 171 drones against Ukraine, including Shahed-type drones and decoy UAVs.
The attack came from the directions of the Russian cities of Oryol, Shatalovo, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as from Cape Chauda in temporarily occupied Crimea.
The attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As of 8:30 on Thursday, as many as 75 Shahed-type drones and other UAVs were confirmed shot down over the regions of: Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson.
A total of 63 enemy decoy drones failed to reach their targets.
As a result of this drone attack, Kirovohrad, Sumy, and Donetsk regions suffered damage.
According to Ukrinform, in Kropyvnytskyi, the Russian drone strike injured 10 civilians, including four children.
