Massive shelling of Kherson claims two lives, five wounded

A massive artillery attack on Kherson lasted for about an hour and a half.

According to Ukrinform, Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, reported this on Facebook.

"Russian forces were shelling central Kherson for about an hour and a half. The video shows the city after another wave of terror," the message states.

As a result of the shelling, the building of the railway station and residential apartment buildings were severely damaged.

According to the Regional chief, the attacks claimed the lives of two people. Four others were injured, including two medics who were assisting a victim.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs later updated the information, reporting that the number of injured from the shelling had increased to five.

A 42-year-old man required medical attention due to a mine-explosive injury. He is currently undergoing further examination.

Earlier reports confirmed that a 55-year-old woman was killed and a 56-year-old man was injured in the attack. Another man, who was at a bus stop, also was killed in the shelling.

A medical team from the ambulance service, which was helping a 59-year-old man, was also hit by the attack. The 33-year-old paramedic and 63-year-old driver were injured.

Russian terrorists also struck Kherson railway station and surrounding infrastructure. As a result of the shelling, a car of Kherson to Lviv train was damaged, which caused a delay.
