War update: 183 clashes along Ukrainian front lines in past day

On March 28, a total of 183 combat engagements were recorded on the Ukrainian battlefields.

That’s according to the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, Ukrinform reports.

Yesterday, the Russians launched a missile strike on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements, employing five missiles, as well as 94 airstrikes, releasing 179 glide bombs.

In addition, the enemy carried out 5,899 artillery attacks, including 145 involving multiple launch rocket systems, and engaged 2,853 kamikaze drones.

Russian airstrikes targeted the areas of Uhroidy, Naumivka, Myropilske, Krasnopillia, Petrushivka, and Prokhody in Sumy region; Novopil in Donetsk region; Kamianske, Novoandriivka, and Novodanylivka in Zaporizhia region; and Kozatske in Kherson region.

Over the past day, aviation, missile and artillery units of Ukraine’s Defense Forces have hit nine enemy manpower and equipment clusters, destroyed an air defense system, a control point, two artillery systems and two other military targets.

In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy tried four times to break through Ukraine’s defensive lines in the Vovchansk area and towards Kamianka.

Three Russian attacks were recorded in the Kupiansk direction as Ukrainian defenders repelled assaults in the Zahryzove area and towards Bohuslavka.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 16 times, trying to wedge into the defense lines in the areas of Nadiia, Yampolivka and towards Hrekivka, Nove, Novomykhailivka, and Zelena Dolyna.

In the Siversk direction, the Defense Forces held back an attack near Ivano-Daryivka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the invaders attacked four times in the area of ​​Chasiv Yar and towards Bila Hora and Predtechyne.

In the Toretsk direction, Russian troops launched 20 attacks in the area of ​​Toretsk and towards Diliivka and Shcherbynivka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukraine held back 73 assault efforts in the areas of Panteleimonivka, Oleksandropil, Tarasivka, Yelyzavetivka, Lysivka, Kotlyne, Novoserhiivka, Udachne, Novo-oleksandrivka, Kotliarivka, Uspenivka, Preobrazhenka, Andriivka, and towards Kalynove.

In the Novopavlivsk direction, Russian troops carried out 17 attacks in the areas of Kostiantynopil, Rozlyv, and Dniproenerhia.

In the Huliaipole direction, the Defense Forces stopped four enemy attacks in the Pryvilne area.

In the Orikhiv direction, the Russian army stormed Ukraine’s positions eight times in the direction of Shcherbaky, Mali Shcherbaky, Mala Tokmachka, Stepove, Kamianske, and north of Nesterianka.

In the Prydniprovia direction, Ukrainian defenders held back two enemy attacks.

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of enemy offensive groupings being formed have been spotted.

Ukraine’s Defense Forces continue their raid in Russia’s Kursk region. Over the past day, the enemy launched 28 airstrikes in the area, dropping 44 glide bombs, and carried out 371 artillery strikes, including 16 with multiple rocket launchers. Ukrainian defenders repelled 14 assaults.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, Russia’s casualty toll in Ukraine as of March 29 has been estimated at 912,490, including 1,740 killed or wounded in the past 24 hours.
