One killed, three injured as Russian forces shell Kostiantynivka with MLRS
One person was killed and three others were injured as a result of a Russian attack on Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region, on the evening of April 3.
The Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
Late in the evening, Russian forces shelled residential areas, likely using a Smerch multiple launch rocket system (MLRS). A 24-year-old local resident was killed in the attack.
Three other men, aged 50, 51, and 61, were hospitalized with blast injuries, shrapnel wounds, and a femur fracture. Two of the victims are in serious condition.
The attack damaged 14 private homes, an apartment building, 12 garages, power lines, and a gas pipeline.
Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, stated on Facebook that on April 3, Russian forces killed one civilian in the region — in Kostiantynivka — and wounded another five people.
He also noted that the total number of Russian-caused civilian casualties in the Donetsk region stands at 3,126 killed and 6,900 injured, not including the cities of Mariupol and Volnovakha.
