Court rules to put suspect Medvedko under house arrest in writer Buzyna murder case
Kyiv Court of Appeals has changed the restraint measure for Andriy Medvedko, who is suspected of murdering journalist and writer Oles Buzyna, from remaining in custody to round the clock house arrest with wearing an electronic bracelet.
The resolution was adopted by the panel of judges at the Court of Appeals on Thursday, Ukrinform reports.
The presiding judge Oleh Prysyazhnyuk said the house arrest for Medvedko is enforced until January 31, 2016.
Thus, the Kyiv Court of Appeals has overruled the first court’s ruling on December 3 by the Kyiv Pechersky district court and extended detention of Medvedko to January 31, 2016.
