JSC Motor Sich president detained on suspicion of aiding and abetting Russia
In Zaporizhzhia, security officers detained President of JSC Motor Sich Vyacheslav Bohuslayev on charges of collaboration and aiding and abetting the aggressor state.
"The officers of the Security Service of Ukraine detained the President and the Head of the Foreign Economic Activity Department of JSC Motor Sich. They were served with notice of charges under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: Art. 111-1 (collaboration); Art. 111-2 (aiding and abetting the aggressor state)," the Security Service of Ukraine informs.
The detention took place as part of criminal proceedings over the illegal supply of Motor Sich military goods for Russian attack aircraft.
According to the investigation files, the management of the Zaporizhzhia-based plant was involved in illegal activities. The officials acted in collusion with representatives of the Russian corporation Rostec which is close to the Kremlin and is one of the main producers of weapons for the Russian armed forces.
The criminals established transnational channels for the illegal supply of wholesale batches of Ukrainian aircraft engines to the aggressor state.
The enemy used the obtained products for the manufacture and repair of Russian attack helicopters Mi-8AMTSh-VN "Sapsan", KA-52 "Alligator", Mi-28N "Night Hunter".
It was established that the invaders massively used the relevant models of army aviation for a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. This is confirmed by numerous destructions of the enemy combat helicopters by the Ukrainian defenders.
"To circumvent the established restrictions on trade with the Russian Federation, the organizers of the scheme used controlled commercial structures in three countries of the Middle East, Europe, and East Asia. These companies sent the "order" to the Ukrainian manufacturer allegedly for the needs of a foreign party. However, after receiving the military products, the "intermediaries" shipped them to Russia. Moreover, the enemy used its foreign accomplices to repair and maintain its aircraft with the use of Ukrainian spare parts," reads the comment of the Security Service of Ukraine.
During the investigation, the Security Service officers identified all the organizers of the illegal activities, documented their criminal actions, and are currently conducting comprehensive measures to bring the perpetrators to justice.
Measures to expose and block offenses were taken by employees of the Counterintelligence Department and the Main Investigative Department of the Security Service of Ukraine under the procedural guidance of the Prosecutor General's Office.
