Ukraine police already probing 46,600 criminal cases involving Russian troops

Since the full-scale Russian invasion, the National Police of Ukraine have opened 46,600 criminal proceedings into the crimes committed by the Russian military and their accomplices.

This was announced by the National Police press service on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"Since the full-scale invasion by Russia, investigators with the National Police have initiated 46,649 criminal proceedings into the facts of crimes committed on the territory of Ukraine by servicemen of the armed forces of the Russian Federation and their accomplices," the statement reads.

Most criminal proceedings, 35,244, were opened under Art. 438 of the Criminal Code (Violation of laws and customs of war), as well as 9,097 – under Art. 110 of the Criminal Code (Encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine).

On February 24, the Russian Federation launched a full-scale war on Ukraine as another stage of military aggression that has been ongoing since 2014.
