Donbas militant from “Motorola group” sentenced to 12 years
Twelve years behind bars – this is the sentence handed down by court to the "DPR" militant who fought under "Motorola”’s command.
This was reported by the Office of the SBU in Cherkasy region, according to Ukrinform
The Security Service of Ukraine collected irrefutable evidence proving guilt of a member of the “DPR” terrorist organization, who fought against Ukraine.
According to the investigation, a resident of the Zhashkiv district of Cherkasy region joined the terrorist organization "DPR" back in 2014. He served in the unit headed by the notorious terrorist "Motorola" and yook part in hostilities in the area of Miusynsk, Malinivka, and Mykolaivka of Donetsk region.
Subsequently, the person involved headed the so-called ‘center for special combat training’ for “DPR” militants, where he personally trained troops in shooting tactics. He was also appointed to a leadership position in the Kalmius terrorist unit, which is part of the self-styled "Ministry of Defense of the ‘DPR.’" Currently, he is the head of the “Army Sports Club,” where he is engaged in military training of recruits.
Based on the stockpile of evidence, the court found the defendant guilty under Part 1 of Art. 258-3 of the Criminal Code (participation in a terrorist group or terrorist organization) and sentenced him to 12 years of imprisonment involving confiscation of property.
Currently, the convict is hiding from justice in the temporarily occupied territory.
As reported by Ukrinform, in December three militants who were involved in storming Ukrainian cities in Donetsk region had been convicted, based on SBU evidence.
