After Russia’s cease-fire statements, attacks only growing – Heraschenko
After Russia’s statements on cease-fire, the number of attacks has increased, Ukraine’s presidential envoy for the regulation of situation in Donbas, Iryna Heraschenko wrote on her Facebook page.
“The OSCE Council is taking place in Vienna, the first sitting under the chairmanship of Germany. Chairman, German Foreign Minister Mr. Steinmeier yesterday made an optimistic statement regarding Russia’s statements in Minsk about cease-fire and militants’ statements about the release of hostages that is to take place in the upcoming days. And what’s happening in reality? After Russia’s statements about cease-fire, number of attacks in Donbas have only increased and over the last two days OSCE have registered not only severe cease-fire violations in Donbas, but also they have made a statement that they are denied in the access to hot spots and they [the militants] are applying force to OSCE representatives,” she wrote.
As to the hostages, according to Heraschenko, “we handed all the lists and proposals on January 6, duplicated them at the recent meeting in Minsk… and still we are waiting for an answer”.
“Russia bears full responsibility for the military actions. Germany, OSCE, and the whole world understand this,” Heraschenko said.
