Hug says militants interfere with OSCE mission work

Representatives of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) to Ukraine are still facing obstacles when fulfilling their duties, especially in the occupied districts of Donetsk region.

Deputy Chief Monitor of the OSCE SMM to Ukraine, Alexander Hug said this at a press conference in Kramatorsk.

“The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission is still experiencing difficulties in registering certain moments, especially in the areas which are temporarily not controlled by Ukraine. Sometimes we are not provided with access to certain places,” he said.

Hug said that a joint center on monitoring the cease-fire regime helped him to solve problems connected with the work in the area of combat actions. He thanked the Ukrainian and Russian officers who works at this center.
