Militants launch 35 attacks on Ukrainian troops
The militants launched 35 attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine over the past day.
This is reported by the ATO Headquarters press centre.
The tense situation was observed in Donetsk direction near Avdiyivka (18km north of Donetsk), Opytne (11.5km north-west of Donetsk), Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk), Butovka coal mine (11.4km north-west of Donetsk), Mayorske (45km north of Donetsk) and Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk), where Russian mercenaries used small arms, heavy machine guns and grenade launchers to shell ATO troops.
At about 21:30, the terrorist group of up to ten people had attempted to walk along the railway track near the Mayorske station where they stumbled upon an observation post. Our soldiers opened fire and repelled the attack.
In addition, the terrorists used small arms, heavy machine guns and grenade launchers of various systems to fire at the Ukrainian positions outside Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk), Krasnohorivka (29 km west of Donetsk), Novotroitske (32km south of Donetsk), Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol).
