Militants launch 78 attacks on ATO troops in eastern Ukraine
Russian-backed militants launched 78 attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Donbas over the past day, including by using the weapons, banned under the Minsk agreements.
This is reported by the ATO Headquarters press center.
"The enemy used 122mm artillery near Pisky [12km north-west of Donetsk]. In addition, 120mm mortars were used near Mayorske [45km north of Donetsk], Zaitseve [67km north-north-east of Donetsk], Avdiyivka [18km north of Donetsk] and Luhanske [59km north-east of Donetsk]. The terrorists also used 82mm mortars to fire at Avdiyivka, Zaitseve, Pisky [12km north-west of Donetsk], Opytne [11.5km north-west of Donetsk]," the statement reads.
In Mariupol area, the tensest situation was observed in Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk) and Krasnohorivka (29 km west of Donetsk), where the enemy shelled the Ukrainian servicemen, using 120mm mortars.
In Luhansk region, the militants used 120mm mortars to shell ATO troops in Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk) and Troitske (69km west of Luhansk).
