Militants launch 54 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Russian-backed militants launched 54 attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Donbas over the past day.

The militants launched 34 attacks on ATO troops in Mariupol direction. The enemy used 82mm and 120mm mortars to fire at Novotroitske (32km south of Donetsk). The enemy also shelled Ukrainian positions in Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk), Krasnohorivka (29 km west of Donetsk), and Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol), using mortars of both calibers, machine guns, and grenade launchers.

In Donetsk direction, the enemy violated ceasefire17 times. The militants used machine guns, grenade launchers, mortars of various calibers to shell Ukrainian defenders of Zaitseve (67km north-north-east of Donetsk) and Butovka coal mine (11.4km north-west of Donetsk).

 Three more attacks were launched at ATO troops in Luhansk direction. The militants used small arms to shell Stanytsia Luhanska (16km north-east of Luhansk) and Novooleksandrivka (65km west of Luhansk).
