Russia deploys 55,000 servicemen on border with Ukraine

The Russian Federation has deployed 55,000 servicemen near the border with Ukraine.

Deputy Defense Minister of Ukraine Ihor Dolhov said this at Tiger Conference on Tuesday, LІGA.net reports.

"As of today, Russia deployed about 55,000 servicemen near the border with Ukraine. The number of the Russian regular army on the territory of Ukraine ranges from 5,000 to 7,500 people. In Crimea, this figure is about 23,000 troops, 9,000 of which stay on the administrative border," he said.

Dolhov also informed that 1,000 Russian servicemen stay in Transnistria.
