Militants launch 38 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Militants launched 38 attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in ATO area in Donbas over the past day.

As noted, in Mariupol direction, the enemy used 120mm mortars to shell Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol), Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk), and Talakivka (20km north-west of Mariupol). Ukrainian positions in Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol), Shyrokyne, Talakivka, Vodiane came under 82mm mortar fire. In addition, terrorists fired at Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol), Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk), and Novotroitske (32km south of Donetsk), using grenade launchers and small arms.

In Donetsk direction, militants used the same weapons to shell Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk), Avdiyivka (18km north of Donetsk), Troitske (69km west of Luhansk), Zaitseve (67km north-north-east of Donetsk).

In Luhansk direction, ATO troops came under grenade launcher fire outside Stanytsia Luhanska (16km north-east of Luhansk).

January 1, three Ukrainian servicepersons were wounded.
